ITEM DESCRIPTION:

• We manufactured the Mercedes CLS-Class AMG style spoiler from carbon fiber with a gloss finish (no painting required).

INSTALLATION:

1. Prepare the Surface:
– Thoroughly clean the rear trunk surface of your Mercedes CLS-Class W218/C218 using rubbing alcohol or adhesive remover. Ensure it’s free from dirt, wax, or debris that could hinder adhesion. Wipe the area dry with a clean cloth.

2. Test Fit and Alignment:
-Prior to applying any adhesive or tape, it’s crucial to first place the AMG-style carbon fiber rear spoiler on the trunk to confirm its alignment and fitment.

3. Apply Double-Sided Tape:
– Cut the double-sided automotive tape into strips or sections that fit along the underside of the spoiler where it contacts the trunk surface.
– Remove the backing from the double-sided tape and carefully apply it to the designated areas on the spoiler. Ensure even coverage for a secure bond.

4. Apply Automotive Silicone Adhesive:
– Apply a thin, even layer of automotive silicone adhesive to the underside of the spoiler where it will make contact with the trunk surface.

5. Position and Secure:
– Align the spoiler properly using the painter’s tape as a guide. Gently position it onto the trunk, pressing firmly to secure the adhesive and tape onto the surface.
– Apply uniform pressure across the entire spoiler to ensure proper adhesion.

6. Allow for Curing:
– Let the silicone adhesive and double-sided tape cure.

7. Clean Up:
-Following the curing period, carefully trim off any excess silicone that may have squeezed out during installation.

8. Final Check:
– Once the adhesive is fully cured, inspect the spoiler to ensure it’s firmly attached and aligned correctly.
