ITEM DESCRIPTION:

• We manufacture the AMG style spoiler from carbon fiber with a gloss finish (no painting required).

INSTALLATION:

1. Prepare the Surface:
– Ensure the rear trunk surface is clean and dry. Thoroughly clean the area where the spoiler will be attached using panel wipe.

2. Test Fit the Spoiler:
– Place the spoiler on the trunk to confirm alignment and fit. Use painter’s tape to temporarily secure it in place.

3. Prepare the Spoiler:
– Clean the mating surface of the spoiler where it will contact the trunk with isopropyl alcohol to remove any contaminants.

4. Apply Double-Sided Tape:
– Cut the double-sided tape into strips or pieces that align with the edges of the spoiler.
– Apply the double-sided tape to the mating surface of the spoiler.

5. Apply Silicone Adhesive:
– Apply a small, even bead of automotive silicone adhesive along the edges of the spoiler where it will contact the trunk. Use caution not to apply too much to prevent excess from squeezing out.

6. Position and Install:
– Carefully position the spoiler on the trunk, aligning it correctly using the temporary tape as a guide.
– Press firmly on the spoiler to ensure good contact between the double-sided tape, silicone, and the trunk surface.

7. Secure and Let It Cure:
– Use additional painter’s tape to secure the spoiler in place while the adhesive cures. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions regarding curing time for the silicone adhesive.

8. Clean Up:
– Remove any excess silicone that might have squeezed out using a clean cloth dampened with isopropyl alcohol.

9. Final Checks:
– After the curing time, gently remove the painter’s tape and ensure the spoiler is securely attached.
