INSTALLATION:

1. Prepare the Area:
Ensure your Mustang is parked on a level surface. Open the OEM bonnet and secure it using the prop rod.

2. Disconnect the Battery:
For safety reasons, disconnect the vehicle’s battery to prevent any electrical issues during the installation.

3. Remove OEM Hood:
Use the socket and ratchet set to remove the bolts securing the OEM hood to the hinges. Have a second person assist you in carefully lifting and removing the OEM hood from the vehicle.

4. Prepare the GT500 Style Hood:
Unbox the GT500 Style Aluminum Bonnet Hood and inspect it for any damage. Place the hood on a clean surface, ensuring it won’t get scratched during installation.

5. Align the Hood:
Carefully align the GT500 hood with the hinge mounting points. Adjust as needed to ensure proper fitment.

6. Secure the New Hood:
With the help of a second person, lift and place the GT500 hood onto the hinge mounting points. Secure the hood in place by hand-tightening the bolts.

7. Final Adjustment:
Close the hood gently and check for alignment. Make any necessary adjustments to ensure proper fitment.

8. Tighten Bolts:
Use the socket and ratchet set to securely tighten the bolts on the hinge mounting points. Ensure all bolts are tightened evenly.

9. Reconnect the Battery:
Reconnect the vehicle’s battery.

10. Test Hood Operation:
Open and close the hood to ensure smooth operation. Make any final adjustments if needed.
