ITEM DESCRIPTION:

INSTALLATION:

1. Prepare the Surface: Clean the area of the trunk lid where the spoiler will be installed using a clean cloth or alcohol wipes. Ensure the surface is free from dirt, grease, or wax residue for proper adhesion.

2. Positioning: Carefully position the spoiler on the trunk lid to determine the exact placement. Use a marker or pencil to lightly mark the outline of the spoiler or employ painter’s tape to mark the edges for guidance during installation.

3. Apply Double-sided Tape: Cut the double-sided automotive tape into strips that fit along the edges of the spoiler’s contact area. Apply the tape to the edges of the spoiler, ensuring full coverage along the contact area.

4. Add Automotive Silicone: Once the tape is in place, apply a thin, even layer of automotive silicone adhesive to the backside of the spoiler. This extra layer will enhance adhesion and help seal the edges for a more secure attachment.

5. Install the Spoiler: Carefully place the spoiler onto the trunk lid, aligning it with the marked or taped outlines. Press firmly on the spoiler to ensure good contact with the tape and allow the silicone to set properly. Apply gentle pressure evenly across the spoiler.

6. Press and Hold: Once the spoiler is in place, apply consistent pressure along the edges for a few minutes to ensure a secure bond between the tape, silicone, and the trunk lid surface.

7. Let It Cure: Allow the silicone adhesive to cure as per the manufacturer’s instructions. It might take a few hours or more for it to fully set and provide a strong bond.

8. Final Touches: Once the adhesive has cured, remove any excess silicone or tape residue with a clean cloth and automotive cleaner if needed. Inspect the spoiler to ensure it’s securely attached.
