ITEM DESCRIPTION:

• Our GT-style rear side fender door scoops for the Ford Mustang 2015-2020 are manufactured from the finest high-grade ABS plastic available on the market.
• Comes with a plastic finish “unpainted”.

INSTALLATION:

1. Prepare the Surface: Clean the areas on the fender where you’ll attach the scoops using a clean cloth or alcohol wipes. Ensure the surface is free from dirt, grease, or wax residue to ensure proper adhesion.

2. Positioning: Carefully position the scoops on the rear side fender doors to determine their exact placement. Use a marker or pencil to lightly mark the outline of the scoops or employ painter’s tape to mark the edges for guidance during installation.

3. Apply Double-sided Tape: Cut the double-sided automotive tape into strips that fit along the edges of the scoops’ contact area. Apply the tape to the edges of the scoops, ensuring full coverage along the contact area.

4. Add Automotive Silicone: Once the tape is in place, apply a thin, even layer of automotive silicone adhesive to the backside of the scoops. This will provide an additional layer of secure adhesion and help seal the edges for a more permanent attachment.

5. Install the Scoops: Carefully place the scoops onto the fender, aligning them with the marked or taped outlines. Press firmly on the scoops to ensure good contact with the tape and allow the silicone to set properly. Apply gentle pressure evenly across the scoops.

6. Press and Hold: Once the scoops are in place, apply consistent pressure along the edges for a few minutes to ensure a secure bond between the tape, silicone, and the fender surface.

7. Let It Cure: Allow the silicone adhesive to cure as per the manufacturer’s instructions. It may take a few hours or more for it to fully set and provide a strong bond.

8. Final Touches: Once the adhesive has cured, remove any excess silicone or tape residue with a clean cloth and automotive cleaner if needed. Inspect the scoops to ensure they’re securely attached.
