ITEM DESCRIPTION:

INSTALLATION:

1. Park and Secure the Vehicle:
– Park your BMW i8 on a level surface and engage the parking brake.

2. Prepare the Area:

– Use a hydraulic jack or car ramps to slightly elevate the rear of the vehicle for better access to the rear bumper and tailgate section.

3. Identify Attachment Points:
– Examine the gloss black rear spoiler wing to identify the attachment points and the specific areas where you will bolt it to the vehicle from underneath.

4. Mark the Placement:
– Use masking tape to mark the precise locations on the rear bumper where the spoiler will be attached.

5. Remove the Middle Section of the Rear Bumper:
– Carefully remove the screws and fasteners securing the middle section of the rear bumper, providing access to the area where the spoiler will be installed.

6. Remove the Tailgate Section:

7. Attach the Spoiler:
– Position the gloss black rear spoiler wing in the marked location on the rear bumper, aligning it properly with the vehicle’s body lines.
– Secure the spoiler to the vehicle by using the provided bolts and screws from underneath.

8. Check Alignment:
– Use a level to ensure the spoiler is level and correctly aligned with the vehicle’s body lines. Make any necessary adjustments.

9. Final Inspection:
– Double-check that the spoiler is securely attached and properly aligned.

10. Reattach the Tailgate Section:
– Carefully reinstall the tailgate section following the manufacturer’s guidelines and ensuring it’s properly aligned and all the screws and bolts are secured.

11. Reattach the Middle Section of the Rear Bumper:
– Reinstall the middle section of the rear bumper, ensuring it’s properly aligned and all the screws and fasteners are secured.

12. Lower the Vehicle:
– Carefully lower the vehicle from the car ramps or hydraulic jack.

13. Clean Up:
– Remove any masking tape or debris from the installation process.

14. Test Drive:
– Take your BMW i8 for a short test drive to ensure the new gloss black rear spoiler wing remains securely in place and does not affect the vehicle’s performance or handling.
