ITEM DESCRIPTION:

• We manufacture our rear diffuser for the BMW i8 2014-2019 in-house using high-grade FRP (fiber reinforced plastic).
• It comes with a primer finish (unpainted).

INSTALLATION:

1. Park and Secure the Vehicle:
– Park your BMW i8 on a level surface and engage the parking brake.

2. Prepare the Area:

– Use a hydraulic jack or car ramps to slightly elevate the rear of the vehicle for better access to the rear bumper.

3. Identify Attachment Points:

4. Mark the Placement:
– Use masking tape to mark the precise locations on the rear bumper where the valance will be attached.

5. Clean the Attachment Area:
– Wipe down the marked area with isopropyl alcohol or a similar cleaning solution to ensure it is free from grease and debris.

6. Attach the Valance:
– Position the rear diffuser valance on the marked area of the rear bumper, ensuring it is level and symmetrically aligned with the vehicle’s body lines.

7. Secure the Valance:
– Depending on the design of the valance and the manufacturer’s instructions, secure it using the provided clips, screws, or fasteners.

8. Check Alignment:
– Use a level to ensure the valance is level and properly aligned with the vehicle’s body lines. Make any necessary adjustments.

9. Final Inspection:
– Double-check that the valance is securely attached and properly aligned.

10. Lower the Vehicle:
– Carefully lower the vehicle from the car ramps or hydraulic jack.

11. Clean Up:
– Remove any masking tape or debris from the installation process.

12. Test Drive:
– Take your BMW i8 for a short test drive to ensure the new rear diffuser valance made from FRP remains securely in place and does not affect the vehicle’s performance or handling.
