INSTALLATION:

1. Park and Secure the Vehicle:
– Park your BMW i8 on a level surface and engage the parking brake.

2. Prepare the Area:
– Ensure the front of the vehicle is clean and free from dirt and debris.

3. Identify Attachment Points:
– Examine the front splitter lip to locate the attachment points and specific areas where it will be installed.

4. Mark the Placement:
– Use masking tape to mark the precise locations on the front of the vehicle where the splitter lip will be attached.

5. Clean the Attachment Area:
– Wipe down the marked area with isopropyl alcohol or a similar cleaning solution to ensure it is free from grease and debris.

6. Apply Automotive Silicone:
– Apply a thin, even layer of automotive-grade silicone adhesive to the edges and attachment points of the front splitter lip.

7. Attach the Splitter Lip:
– Position the splitter lip on the marked area of the front of the vehicle, ensuring it is level and symmetrically aligned with the vehicle’s body lines.

8. Secure with Screws:
– Use screws to secure the front splitter lip in place. Make sure the screws go through the pre-drilled holes on the splitter lip and into the vehicle’s body.

9. Check Alignment:
– Use a level to ensure the splitter lip is level and correctly aligned with the vehicle’s body lines. Make any necessary adjustments.

10. Final Inspection:
– Double-check that the front splitter lip is securely attached, and that the silicone forms a watertight seal.

11. Lower the Vehicle:
– Carefully lower the vehicle from the car ramps or hydraulic jack if used.

12. Clean Up:
– Remove any masking tape or excess adhesive, and ensure the front of the vehicle is clean.

13. Test Drive:
– Take your BMW i8 for a short test drive to ensure the new front splitter lip made from FRP remains securely in place and does not affect the vehicle’s performance or handling.
