ITEM DESCRIPTION:

• Our aero kit for the BMW I8 2014-2019 is manufactured in-house from high-grade FRP (fiber reinforced plastic).
• It comes with a primer finish (unpainted), however, we offer a painting service with this item (additional cost).
• If you choose the painting service, please allow us 7 working days to paint and dispatch the aero kit.
• The painting service includes a gloss black finish, a different colour code might incur extra charges, please get in touch with us to get an accurate quotation.

INSTALLATION:

1. Park and Secure the Vehicle:
– Park your BMW i8 on a level surface and engage the parking brake.

2. Prepare the Area:
– Ensure the vehicle is clean and free from dirt and debris.

3. Identify Attachment Points:
– Examine each body kit component to locate the attachment points and specific areas where they will be installed.

4. Mark the Placement:
– Use masking tape to mark the precise locations on the vehicle where each component will be attached.

5. Clean the Attachment Areas:
– Wipe down the marked areas with isopropyl alcohol or a similar cleaning solution to ensure they are free from grease and debris.

6. Install the Front Splitter:
– Apply automotive silicone to the attachment points on the front splitter and secure it in place using screws.

7. Install the Side Skirts:
– Apply double-sided automotive tape and automotive silicone to the backside of the side skirts, then align and press them into place. Secure the skirts with screws as well.

8. Install the Rear Diffuser:
– Use screws to attach the rear diffuser securely.

9. Install the Rear Spoiler:
– This will require removing the middle section of the rear bumper and the middle tailgate piece.
– Bolt the spoiler from underneath the vehicle, ensuring it is level and properly aligned.
– Use screws to secure the spoiler in place.

10. Check Alignment:
– Use a level to ensure all components are level and correctly aligned with the vehicle’s body lines. Make any necessary adjustments.

11. Final Inspection:
– Double-check that all body kit components are securely attached and that silicone creates watertight seals where necessary.

12. Lower the Vehicle:
– Carefully lower the vehicle from the car ramps or hydraulic jack if used.

13. Clean Up:
– Remove any masking tape or excess adhesive, and ensure the vehicle is clean.

14. Test Drive:
– Take your BMW i8 for a short test drive to ensure the new body kit components remain securely in place and do not affect the vehicle’s performance or handling.
