INSTALLATION:

1. Gather Your Tools and Materials: Before starting, ensure you have all the necessary tools and materials, including the spoiler, automotive-grade double-sided tape, automotive silicone adhesive, a measuring tape, masking tape, rubbing alcohol, a clean cloth, and a friend to assist you.

2. Prepare the Car: Park your BMW 2 Series on a level surface and clean the trunk thoroughly to remove any dirt, wax, or debris. Use rubbing alcohol to clean the trunk surface where the spoiler will be attached. This will ensure a strong bond.

3. Position the Spoiler: Temporarily place the spoiler on the trunk to determine the ideal positioning. Use masking tape to mark the edges and ensure it’s centered. This step is crucial for proper alignment.

4. Apply Double-Sided Tape: Cut pieces of automotive-grade double-sided tape to fit the underside of the spoiler. Apply the tape to the spoiler, ensuring even coverage. Pay extra attention to the edges.

5. Apply Silicone Adhesive: Apply a thin, even layer of automotive silicone adhesive to the underside of the spoiler. Focus on the areas that will make direct contact with the trunk, especially around the edges.

6. Mount the Spoiler: Carefully align the spoiler with the marked position on the trunk and press it down gently. Have your assistant hold the spoiler in place for a few minutes to ensure the tape and silicone bond effectively.

7. Secure the Spoiler: Use masking tape to hold the spoiler securely in place while the adhesive cures. Be sure the spoiler remains level and centered.

8. Cure Time: Allow the silicone adhesive to cure as per the manufacturer’s instructions. This may take several hours or longer, depending on the product.

9. Final Check: After the adhesive has fully cured, remove the masking tape and double-check that the spoiler is securely in place and properly aligned.

10. Clean Up: Remove any excess adhesive or tape and clean the car to remove fingerprints or smudges.

11. Test Drive: After installation, take your BMW 2 Series for a test drive to ensure the spoiler remains secure and doesn’t affect the vehicle’s performance or handling.
