Audi RS5 and A5 S-line 2012-2015 B8.5 facelift front splitter lip

ITEM DESCRIPTION:

• We manufacture our front Audi RS5 front splitter in-house from high-grade FRP (fiber reinforced plastic).
• Please be aware that the finish on our front splitter/lip is not gloss black paint, however, if you are happy with the finish you can install it, otherwise, you can paint it.

INSTALLATION:

1. Prepare the Vehicle: Ensure the Audi is parked on a flat surface, and the front end is safely raised on jack stands or ramps to provide easy access to the front bumper.

2. Clean the Area: Thoroughly clean the lower front bumper area where the splitter will be installed. Remove any dirt, grease, or residue that may prevent proper adhesion.

3. Position the Splitter: Carefully position the front splitter lip on the lower part of the front bumper to align it correctly. Use masking tape to temporarily hold it in place.

4. Apply Silicone Adhesive: Apply a generous amount of automotive silicone adhesive to the edges and contact points of the splitter that will come in contact with the bumper.

5. Secure with Screws: After applying the silicone, carefully secure the splitter to the bumper by inserting screws through the pre-drilled holes in the splitter into the bumper. Use the appropriate size and length of screws to ensure a secure fit.

6. Tighten Screws: Gradually tighten the screws evenly across the splitter to ensure that it is securely fastened to the bumper. Do not overtighten to avoid damaging the splitter or bumper.

7. Wipe Excess Silicone: Use a clean cloth to wipe away any excess silicone that may have squeezed out around the edges of the splitter. This will help achieve a clean and neat finish.

8. Allow to Cure: Leave the vehicle undisturbed for the recommended curing time specified on the silicone adhesive product, typically 24 hours, to ensure a strong bond.

9. Test Fit: Once the silicone has cured, carefully inspect the installation to ensure the splitter is securely attached to the bumper. Give it a gentle tug to confirm its stability.

10. Final Touches: Remove any masking tape, and clean the splitter’s surface to remove any fingerprints or smudges.
