ITEM DESCRIPTION:

• We manufacture our Audi RS4 FRP lip in-house from high-grade FRP (fiber reinforced plastic), making it very durable and strong.
• Finished in black FRP “Please be aware that the finish on our front splitter/lip is not gloss black paint, however, if you are happy with the finish you can install it, otherwise you can paint it.
• Our front splitter/lip does not increase overall vehicle weight.

INSTALLATION:

1. Prepare the Area: Park the vehicle on a flat surface and engage the parking brake for stability.

2. Clean the Surface: Thoroughly clean the area on the front bumper where the splitter lip will be attached. Use panel wipe to remove any dirt, grease, or residue. Ensure the surface is dry before proceeding.

3. Position the Splitter Lip: Place the black FRP front splitter lip against the bottom edge of the front bumper. Align it properly to ensure it fits seamlessly and follows the bumper’s contours.

4. Mark Attachment Points: With the splitter lip properly positioned, mark the areas where screws will be inserted to secure the lip to the bumper.

5. Drill Pilot Holes (if needed): Depending on the lip and bumper design, you might need to drill pilot holes for the screws. Ensure the holes are slightly smaller than the screws for a snug fit.

6. Apply Silicone Adhesive: Apply a bead of automotive silicone adhesive along the underside of the splitter lip, especially along the edges that will be in contact with the bumper. This adhesive will provide additional support and prevent moisture from seeping in.

7. Attach the Splitter Lip: Align the marked attachment points on the lip with the bumper. Secure the lip in place by first pressing firmly to ensure the silicone adheres well to the bumper.

8. Insert Screws: If pilot holes were drilled, insert screws through the splitter lip and into the pre-drilled holes on the bumper. Tighten the screws using a screwdriver. Be cautious not to overtighten to avoid damage.

9. Clean Up Excess Adhesive: Wipe away any excess silicone adhesive that might have squeezed out using a clean microfiber cloth.

10. Clean and Check: Clean the surface of the splitter lip and bumper with a microfiber cloth and check for proper alignment.
