1. Prepare the Surface: Clean the area on the trunk where the spoiler will be installed. Use panel wipe to remove any dirt, grease, or residue. Ensure the surface is dry before proceeding.

2. Position the Spoiler: Place the ABS plastic rear spoiler on the trunk lid to check alignment and fitment. Ensure it’s centered and positioned correctly.

3. Apply Double-Sided Tape: Cut strips of double-sided automotive tape to fit along the underside edges of the spoiler where it will adhere to the trunk. Apply the tape evenly, leaving no gaps.

4. Apply Automotive Silicone: Alongside the areas with the double-sided tape, apply a thin bead of automotive silicone adhesive. This helps to create a more secure and weatherproof seal.

5. Attach the Spoiler: Carefully position the spoiler back onto the trunk lid, pressing firmly to ensure the tape adheres to the surface. Hold the spoiler in place for a few minutes to allow the adhesive to set.

6. Clean Up Excess Adhesive: Wipe away any excess silicone adhesive that may have squeezed out from beneath the spoiler using a clean microfiber cloth.

7. Allow for Cure Time: Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for the automotive silicone regarding curing time. Typically, it’s recommended to let it cure for at least 24 hours before driving.
