ITEM DESCRIPTION:

• We manufacture our Audi A5 SE A5 S-line S5 and RS5 2007-2015 side skirts extension lips in-house from high-grade FRP (fiber reinforced plastic).
• Finished in black FRP “Please be aware that the finish on our front splitter/lip is not a gloss black paint, however, if you are happy with the finish you can install it, otherwise you can paint it.“.

INSTALLATION:

1. Ensure Safety: Park your vehicle on a flat and stable surface, and engage the parking brake for safety.

2. Gather Materials: Prepare the necessary tools and materials, including automotive silicone, screws, a screwdriver, and any additional hardware provided with the extension lips.

3. Lift the Vehicle: Use a jack and jack stands to lift the vehicle’s side where you plan to install the extension lips. Ensure the vehicle is securely supported before starting the installation.

4. Clean the Surface: Thoroughly clean the area on the vehicle’s side where the extension lips will attach. Remove any dirt, debris, or wax residues that may prevent a secure bond.

5. Apply Silicone: Apply a generous amount of automotive silicone along the edges of the extension lips that will come into contact with the vehicle’s side. Make sure the silicone is evenly distributed.

6. Position the skirts: Carefully align the extension skirts with the side of the vehicle, ensuring they are level and properly placed.

7. Secure with Screws: Using the provided screws, attach the extension lips to the vehicle’s side. Place the screws through any pre-drilled holes or designated points on the lips.

8. Tighten Screws: Use a screwdriver to tighten the screws securely but without over-tightening, as this may damage the lips or the vehicle’s body.

9. Repeat for the Other Side: If the extension lips are a pair, repeat the same steps for the other side of the vehicle.

10. Double-Check Alignment: Before lowering the vehicle, double-check that both extension lips are correctly aligned and securely attached.

11. Lower the Vehicle: Carefully lower the vehicle from the jack stands.

12. Allow Silicone to Cure: Let the automotive silicone cure as per the manufacturer’s instructions. This usually takes several hours or as recommended on the product label.

13. Test Drive: After the silicone has fully cured, take a short test drive to ensure that the extension lips are securely in place.
